The Flint Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. said the North Flint Food Market has received the first Catherine Jones Fredrick Social Action Trailblazer Award.
The award recognizes the market for seeing a need in the community and taking action to reduce the food desert while allowing residents to have ownership through the co-op.
